RECORD YOUR SONG

Do you sing and wish you could record your favourite song for your friends and family? Would you love to see the inside of a recording studio and get singing in front of a real microphone? If you are interested and would like to get the “star” treatment in a studio then this is for you!

What is it: A weekend intensive for singers to record themselves singing a song in a professional recording studio with support from an experienced singing teacher, studio sound engineer and accompanist.

Weekend includes:

  • 12 hours in a recording studio
  • Warm-ups
  • Technique and vocal coaching
  • Recording, mixing and mastering of both a group and individual song
  • Professional accompaniment
  • Experienced singing teacher
  • Studio sound engineer
  • Your song mixed and mastered to share with friends and family

Venue: Orchard Recording Studio, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford

Record your favourite song and leave with a professional recording to share with your friends and family.

Enjoy the process of recording with a group of like-minded people to cheer you along, with professional vocal coach Aideen on hand to ensure you sound your best.

Schedule

Day 1

10am: Meet – Teas and Coffees

10.30: Introduction with Brendan Carthy, Sound Engineer – covering the process & benefits of recording and how to use the microphone and headphones

11.00: Warm ups – breathing exercises, singing exercises

11.25: Group Song Practice with accompaniment

11.50: Recording of Group Song

12.40: Lunch at local restaurant*

1.45:  Individual song Practice with accompaniment

2:30- 5pm: 30mins per person recording practice

Day 2

10.30am: Meet – Teas and coffees – Feedback from Day 1

11.00: Warm up

11.20: Final recording of Group Song if needed

12.00, 12.30: Individual Song Recording/ Fine-tuning

1pm – 2pm: Take away lunch at the studio*

2.30, 3.00: Individual Song Recording/ Fine-tuning

3.30: Break

4.00: Individual Song Recording.

4.30: Last listen through the songs

5pm: FINISH

* Lunch is not included. A table will be booked for our group in a local restaurant for the first day. On day two we will order lunch to bring into the studio to maximise the time we have to record and mix your songs. Teas and Coffees provided.
